Calgary has a robust transit network and the convention centre is located just minutes away from the AB # 2 Highway, so no matter how you plan to get to Calfurry there are plenty of options to consider. Below are some options for getting to the convention as well as some additional considerations while you're in the City of Calgary.
You will be landing at YYC (Calgary International Airport) which is in the northern half of the City of Calgary. Neither The Glenmore nor the Hotel Blackfoot offer an airport shuttle; however, taxis, Uber and Lyft are all available at YYC. You can also rent a car, or take public transit directly from the Calgary Airport. Please consult signage or the white-hatted ambassadors at the airport on where these ground transportation options are located.
If you're planning on utilizing Uber or Lyft, both services allow you to book your ride in advance which usually saves you money. Details on pick-up locations can be found on Uber's website here
Both our hotels have free parking for hotel Guests and visitors, and there is plenty of parking available at the main hotel & convention centre. The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre is located off of Glenmore Trail, easily accessable from Deerfoot Trail (AB #2) and the Stoney Trail ring road.

The best bus route to take to travel between the Hotel Blackfoot and The Glenmore Inn is Route 43. Consult Google Maps or Calgary Transit for fares, specific details, and schedules.
Calfurry is pleased to offer a shuttle service that will take Guests staying at the Hotel Blackfoot to the Glenmore Inn and from the Glenmore Inn to the Hotel Blackfoot on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
This service will be at no cost to Guests staying at the Hotel Blackfoot and will be available starting Friday and Saturday morning with the last shuttle departing at 1:30am from the Glenmore Inn. Sunday’s final departure will be at 7:30pm from the Glenmore Inn. (Alternative arrangements may be made for Guests who miss the last departure on Sunday.)
A special storage room/change room will be made available to Guests staying at the Hotel Blackfoot in the “Poolview Room” at the Glenmore Inn. Please note that the Poolview Room is not accessible. Should you require any accessibility accommodations, kindly inform our Staff upon your arrival, and we will be pleased to assist you.
The provincial Tobacco Reduction Act prohibits smoking in public places and workplaces. It specifies that smoking is not allowed within 5 meters of a doorway, window, or air intake.
The City of Calgary Smoking and Vaping Bylaw also bans smoking or vaping at Calgary Olympic Plaza and in the +15 Skywalk network. You may also not smoke or vape within five metres of outdoor recreational areas (outdoor pools, outdoor skating rinks, playgrounds, skate parks or sports fields).
The Glenmore Inn and Hotel Blackfoot do not permit the smoking or vaping of tobacco products in their Guest Rooms or in any indoor space in their facilities.
While Cannabis is legal for consumption in Canada, crossing international borders with cannabis is not permitted. There is a legal dispensary in the same parking lot as the Glenmore Hotel where adults (18+) may legally purchase cannabis products.
The Glenmore Inn and Hotel Blackfoot do not permit the smoking or vaping of cannabis in their Guest Rooms or in any indoor space in their facilities.
The legal age for purchase and consumption of alcohol is 18 years of age or over in the Province of Alberta. You may only consume alcohol purchased from one of the Glenmore Inn’s outlets while in convention spaces permitting alcohol consumption. Alcohol purchased from other outlets may not be consumed in hotel spaces except in hotel rooms.
There is a liquor store in the same parking lot as the Glenmore Inn where adults (18+) may purchase alcohol for consumption in private spaces. Identification is required upon request from the retailer. Liquor is not sold in grocery stores in the Province of Alberta.

The closest Walmart is approximately a 10-minute drive (each way) from the Glenmore Inn.
There is a FreshCo grocery that is about a 5-minute drive/25-minute walk (each way) from the Glenmore Inn.
One of the most popular shopping malls in Calgary is CF Chinook Centre which is located about 10 minutes away from The Glenmore Inn by car.
