What is Club Calfurry?

Club Calfurry is an exciting and rewarding program that provides a unique way to support Calfurry and provides exclusive discounts, offers and benefits to its members. These benefits are to be enjoyed at Calfurry or at other Calfurry-sanctioned events.

What are the Benefits?

As a Club Calfurry member, you will receive a discount of 20% on all registration levels, a discount of $10/per night on rooms at our hotel venue and 10% on food and non-alcoholic beverages sold by venue-operated outlets during Calfurry. Also enjoy a 10% on items sold at the Calfurry Store. You’ll also receive a $10 voucher that can be used at any Vendor in our Marketplace. Members will also have access to in-person and online special events throughout the year. Only Club Calfurry members can also opt to have their registration badge mailed to them for a small fee.

Is Club Calfurry Worth It? In a Word, "YES"!

If you are a member and you chose to register at the top tier registration which has a regular price of $380, you would save $76 on that registration. Your room nets you savings of $10 a night, so if you’re staying 3 nights, that’s a total of $30 savings on the room. Don’t forget the $10 voucher you’ll be able to use at the Marketplace with any vendor! When you add it up, just on the registration, room (for 3 nights) and the Marketplace voucher, you’re already saving $116 which is close to or even more than what you paid to be part of the Calfurry Club depending on when you signed up and how you paid. If you also dine at the hotel (with the 10% discount on food & non-alcoholic beverages) and/or with some of our partners and you are way ahead compared to not being a Club Calfurry member. Even at the standard registration level regularly priced at $90, you would save $18 on that registration. Again, if you stay at the hotel for 3 nights, you’d save $30 on the room. Then, there’s the $10 Marketplace voucher. That’s already $58 in savings when you combine those amounts. If you dine at the hotel or with some of our partners in the area and purchase items at the Calfurry Store, you could easily save enough on those purchases to make your Calfurry Club membership pay for itself! We’re also looking at other great ways to ensure that Club Calfurry is excellent value for our Members not just during Calfurry, but throughout the year. What Does it Cost?

Club Calfurry is just $10 per month plus GST for an annual membership for a total of $120/year. You can save $20 if you pay for your annual membership in full in one transaction ($100 plus GST) during our open enrollment period. (You must be a current, paid member of Club Calfurry to utilize any benefits offered.)

How Does This Help Calfurry?

Being a member of Club Calfurry helps the convention ensure its success and allows us to ensure that our Staff, Volunteers, Performers, and others are given better perks for all the work that they do to deliver an amazing convention to our Guests. The benefits offered to these unsung heroes may include subsidized rooms and meals as well as other benefits (such as no-cost standard registration) which these diligent individuals rightly deserve. (Don’t forget, you can also be a part of the Calfurry Team when Staff and Volunteer recruitment begins and earn these benefits, too!)

Club Calfurry vs Calfurry Account

Please note that a Club Calfurry membership is not the same as a Calfurry Account. A Calfurry Account is what allows you to access our website in order to purchase registration for the convention, apply to vend at the convention, submit panels for the convention, etc. A Club Calfurry is a paid membership that supports the convention while giving you access to exclusive benefits and discounts. A Club Calfurry membership is not required to attend the convention, nor does it provide you admission to any Calfurry events which require a separate purchase.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

THIS AGREEMENT (the Agreement) is being made by and between Alberta Anthropomorphics Ltd. (“Club Calfurry”) and the individual who is subscribing to Club Calfurry (the Member). The Agreement is made and entered into as of the date of sign up and payment of membership dues.

This Agreement sets forth the privileges which Club Calfurry will make available to the Member. Club Calfurry and the Member do hereby agree as follows:

  1. Club Calfurry shall establish parameters for the acceptance of members, which may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
    1. Completion of a membership subscription application and this Agreement in such form as may be prescribed by Club Calfurry. By completion of the application, each Member agrees to be bound to the terms of this Agreement.
    2. The Member shall be required to pay an annual fee of $120 based on the following schedule:
      1. If enrolling in March 31 to April 30, 2024 (inclusive), $10 on the day of Club Calfurry Membership enrollment and then $10 a month for the next eleven consecutive months; or
      2. If enrolling May 1 to 31, 2024 (inclusive), $20 on the day of Club Calfurry Membership enrollment and then $10 a month for the next ten consecutive months; or
      3. $120 in a single payment due on the day of Club Calfurry Membership acceptance. (A $20 discount is applicable if the $120 single payment is paid during the two month “Open Enrollment Period” which is March 31 to May 31, 2024).
  2. A Club Calfurry membership provides the following benefits to each Member in good standing and upon providing proof of valid membership:
    1. A 20% discount on the prevailing pricing of all Calfurry Convention Registration levels;
    2. A $10/night discount on the nightly room rate for accommodation at the Convention hotel when booked using a special code only available to Club Calfurry members. (A maximum of one $10/night discount will be applied regardless of how many registered Guests of a room are members of Club Calfurry.);
    3. A 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages sold by any outlet operated by the Convention hotel. (Some exclusions may apply.);
    4. Discounts at select businesses near the hotel venue during the Calfurry Convention dates. Details will be posted later;
    5. A 10% discount on all regularly priced merchandise offered for sale in the Calfurry Store;
    6. A $10 voucher that can be used at any Vendor in the Calfurry Marketplace during that year’s event. (A maximum of a single voucher may be used and the entire amount must be used at one time; no change is given.);
    7. Access to special events to be announced by Club Calfurry throughout the year; and
    8. Other offers and benefits that may be added at any time.
  3. Member benefits are subject to change. Our hotel and business partner(s) reserve the right to modify or cancel discounts.
  4. The Member acknowledges that the membership does not give the Member an equity or ownership interest in Calfurry or other events operated by nor assets owned by Alberta Anthropomorphics Ltd. Members shall not be subject to any liability for capital or operating assessments of the costs and expenses of operating Calfurry or other events operated by Alberta Anthropomorphics, nor shall Members be entitled to any revenues or profits relating to the ownership or operation of Alberta Anthropomorphics Ltd. events or property.
  5. A Club Calfurry membership expires upon the completion of the Calfurry convention in a given calendar year.
  6. Club Calfurry reserves the right to change the annual membership fees each year at its sole discretion.
  7. Membership in Club Calfurry is not automatically renewed, and the Member must sign up for membership each year.
  8. The Member shall not have the right to transfer the Member’s membership or rights under this Agreement.
  9. Membership may be terminated and revoked by Club Calfurry for failure to pay membership fees when due and/or if terms of the Calfurry Code of Conduct are breached resulting in removal from the event premises. In either case, membership fees that have already been paid will not be refunded.
  10. You may cancel your Club Calfurry membership anytime by emailing members@calfurry.ca. If you have a fully paid annual membership, your benefits will continue until the next open enrollment period for the Club. If you are paying monthly, your benefits will end immediately.
  11. You must be a paid member to enjoy the benefits of Club Calfurry.
  12. Club Calfurry Membership is only available to those 18 years of age or older at the time of enrollment.
