Calfurry is a new celebration of the Furry Fandom which will be held in the vibrant and exciting city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The first edition of Calfurry will take place in May of 2025.
With a dynamic, experienced leadership team consisting of former and current staff members of a number of other Furry conventions, our mission is to tell the best stories and create exceptional experiences for our Guests in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Alberta Anthropomorphics Ltd. is the parent company of Calfurry and is a registered Alberta non-profit corporation.
bcbreakaway has staffed and/or volunteered at numerous Furry conventions and other events. He was most recently the Convention Chair of another Alberta-based convention and was previously the Guest Experience Manager for that organization. He is also currently staff of another major US-based Furry convention and has volunteered at several others over the years. “bc” is thrilled to take on the challenge of helping to launch Calfurry and to continue to bring his unique storytelling capabilities to a new event.
Tiggs has been in the Furry fandom for many years and has been a volunteer or staff at numerous conventions throughout North America. Formerly the Programming Director for an Edmonton-based Furry convention, he is excited to take on the challenge of building a new event from scratch. Tiggs was also the popular “Santa Tiggs” at an annual Christmas event and has a reputation for being a favourite among the local Furry community.
Known sometimes as “The Doughnut Dog,” Wolever brings his considerable performance and organization skills to Calfurry. Wolever has been involved in the furry fandom for more than 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as an attendee and also as an organizer of many different furry and non-furry fandom events and conventions. Wolever has also been seen seen handing out Krispy Kreme doughnuts at various Furry conventions and, if we are lucky, perhaps even at Calfurry at some point in the future.
Tizger has been Staff at an Edmonton-based Furry convention for several years now, most recently in the role of Director of Programming. He has been tapped to fulfill the same role at Calfurry and is part of the Executive team for our event. Tizger has had the opportunity to visit a number of other Furry conventions over the years and looks forward to bringing the best of those events to Calfurry.
Sleipnir brings his considerable skills in various fields to Calfurry. He acts as our technology expert as well as our Audio/Visual planner. As a regular attendee and staff member of numerous Furry conventions and events, he is thrilled to help build Calfurry from the ground up.
Fallout Coyote was the co-founder of “Fur-Eh!” and has been an active member of the Furry community for many years. His dedication to the quality of “show” and ensuring a superior Guest experience will be key responsibilities for Fallout at Calfurry.
A former staff member of an Edmonton-based Furry convention and former Board member of the organization responsible for the aforementioned convention, SierraRacs brings a wealth of experience to Calfurry. His positive attitude and demeanor will be a strong guiding force within our organization.
